The Timer Window showing an active plan countdown
What It Shows
The Timer Window displays:- Countdown timer — time remaining in the current session, break, or delay
- Plan name — which plan the timer belongs to (can be hidden in Settings)
- Status message — whether the plan is active, on break, in delay, etc.
- Progress indicator — a visual bar or fill showing how far through the current period you are
- Action icons — inline controls for stop, pause, resume, and skip break
Action Icons
The Timer Window has inline action icons directly on the timer face, so you can control your plan without opening the main app:- Pause / Resume — temporarily suspend or resume blocking
- Stop — stop the plan entirely
- Skip Break — skip the current break on Screen Break and Pomodoro plans
Progress Display
The Timer Window can show a progress indicator with two styles:
On Pomodoro plans, the progress display changes colour during break phases so you can tell at a glance whether you’re in a work or break period.
Configure the progress style in Settings → Timer.
Showing and Hiding
There are several ways to show or hide a Timer Window:Behaviour
- Always on top — the Timer Window floats above all other windows so you can always see it
- Draggable — click and drag to reposition the window anywhere on screen. FocusMe remembers the position between sessions
- Greyscale when inactive — when the plan is not currently active (e.g., outside schedule hours), the Timer Window appears greyed out
- Per-plan — each plan has its own independent Timer Window
