How to block Netflix with FocusMe

We love Netflix. But some shows are just too addictive and they can be an easy way to procrastinate on your work! Here’s how to block Netflix using FocusMe.

The first thing you do is either create a new plan or edit an existing one. To create a new plan, hit the “add plan” button on the upper right. To edit an existing plan, you can either right-click on the plan and select “Edit Plan” or hit the respective ellipsis on the right.

Type the name of the Focus plan (for editing existing plans, the name shows up here) then hit “Next”

On the next page, click on the “Add Site” button.

Then go to the Custom tab, type in “netflix.com” (without the quotes) and set its type to “URL”. Then click “Done”.

We need to add one more item. Repeat the previous step and this time type “netflix” (without the quotes) and set its type as “Title”. Then hit “Done”.

The Blocklist tab should look like this:

Please note the Types of both items – “URL” for netflix.com and “Title” for netflix. Then complete the rest of the plan such as when you want the plan to be active and whether to block or time limit etc.
