# Timer Window

> A floating mini window that shows your plan's countdown timer — always visible on screen.

The Timer Window is a small, always-on-top floating window that displays your plan's current status and countdown timer. It keeps you aware of your plan without needing to open the main FocusMe window.

</Frame>

## What It Shows

The Timer Window displays:

* **Plan name** — which plan the timer belongs to
* **Status message** — whether the plan is active, on break, in delay, etc.
* **Countdown timer** — time remaining in the current session, break, or delay

Each plan can have its own Timer Window, so you can track multiple plans simultaneously.

## Showing and Hiding

There are several ways to show or hide a Timer Window:

| Method | How |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Context menu** | Right-click a plan → **Show Timer Window** or **Hide Timer Window** |
| **Plan details** | Open the plan details and toggle the Timer Window checkbox |
| **Close button** | Click the close button on the Timer Window itself to hide it |

## Behaviour

* **Always on top** — the Timer Window floats above all other windows so you can always see it
* **Draggable** — click and drag to reposition the window anywhere on screen. FocusMe remembers the position between sessions
* **Greyscale when inactive** — when the plan is not currently active (e.g., outside schedule hours), the Timer Window appears greyed out
* **Per-plan** — each plan has its own independent Timer Window

## Selectively Show Timer Windows

If you have many plans, you may not want a Timer Window for each one. Use the **Selectively Show Timer Windows** setting to control which plans display their timer.

<Tip>The Timer Window is especially useful for Time Limit and Pomodoro plans where tracking remaining time helps you plan your work sessions.</Tip>
